Ms. Nina Tiaga, CEO and CFO

Nina is CEO and CFO of FedBiz IT Solutions. In this capacity, she manages the company’s finances, assets, company certifications and business development goals.

Nina played an instrumental role in establishing FedBiz IT, managing all the necessary paperwork to operate a small business and ensuring the operation runs smoothly. She has also worked to secure important federal IT certifications for the company, such as HUBZone; Small, Women-owned, and Minority-owned (SWaM); and Economically Disadvantaged Woman-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB).

Nina’s professional background includes positions in accounting, office management, consulting, sales, and entrepreneurship at various nonprofits and small businesses. After serving four years in the United States Air Force, she graduated with a Bachelors of Art in Human Resources and Associates of Science in Accounting from Troy State University in Montgomery, Alabama.

Outside of work, Nina is an active member of the Purcellville, VA based non-profit organization Tree of Life that provides food, shelter, and life skills support to the local community. She serves as a Financial Coach, sharing her skills with budgeting, credit and other financial issues to help participants address immediate money worries, and as a Care Facilitator, guiding families to find better jobs through career advice, resume assistance, and interview preparation. Additionally, she regularly assists with monthly dinners at the Salvation Army homeless shelter in Winchester, VA.

Mr. Don Tiaga, President

Don is President of FedBiz IT Solutions and oversees its consulting, contracting, proposal writing and sales services to federal resellers. He has over 26 years of experience in the technology public sector, in addition to his military career, and has managed multiple federal and state, local government and education (SLED) contracts valued at over $50 billion.

Don’s work in the IT field started during his service in the United States Air Force where he began working technical roles on large Department of Defense (DoD) contracts in the 1980’s. While leading the Air Force Small Computer Technical team in providing support for over 500,000 DoD users, he acquired the technical skills desired by the private sector and, after retiring from 20 years of service, was recruited by GTSI Corporation in 1995 to run their engineering systems teams, jump-starting a successful career in proposal writing and contract management.

Throughout his career in the federal arena, Don has been employed to step in and manage government contracts for multiple companies, and has been successful in increasing their overall sales revenue. Most notably, while at CDW-G, sales revenues increased from $30 million to over $700 million, and at Micro Warehouse, revenue exceeded $400 million. During his tenure at FedStore Corporation, revenue increased from $28 to $85 million in 2 years. Additionally, he has been recognized for his extensive experience winning and managing contracts. While at Micro Warehouse, his team won and managed 40 state/local and 6 federal contracts. At Merlin International, Don was directly responsible for winning multiple federal contacts, including three NASA SEWP 4 contracts which were awarded to Merlin, Three Wire Systems, and KnightPoint.

Under Don’s leadership, FedBiz IT is now one of only fourteen companies nationwide to be awarded the highly coveted NASA Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement (SEWP) V – Group B HUBZone set-aside contract.

During his free time, Don enjoys playing softball or golf with his sons, going to sporting events and concerts, and volunteering with Upper Loudoun Little League and Greater Loudoun Babe Ruth baseball organizations.




 Mr. Chuck Spence, Vice President of Business Development

Chuck is Vice President of Business Development at FedBiz IT Solutions, where he utilizes his 30 years of experience in the Federal IT arena to oversee the company’s contracts and sales projects, including the recently awarded NASA SEWP V contract.

Chuck’s background in program management and business development equates to  twenty-one years of experience with contract and program management, bids and proposal solutions, sales (includes both customer facing and vendor facing), and project management of IT products & services to the federal government. He also has entrepreneurial and leadership experience, having owned and operated his own small business for several years. Prior to entering the Federal IT arena, he spent six years in the advertising, marketing and sales sector.

His professional certifications include VMWare VSP, Cisco TCSE, Dell Solutions for IT Professionals, CommVault Accredited Sales Professional, and SEWP IV Contract Holder Advisory Panel. He is also a member of the local Maryland Chapter of Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA). He presently holds a Top Secret Clearance and has a pending Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

In his spare time, Chuck volunteers as a Big Brother in the Big Brother/Big Sister Program and as an EMT-B with his local Fire Department. His hobbies include kayaking, fishing, hiking, and attending live music concerts of all kinds.
